Technical Communication

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.

Presentation Design

Technology Used: Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

This project required me to create a presentation from scratch. I created a story based on things to do at the Disneyland Resort. I took images I had already taken and created a narrative for someone who may have never been to the parks before.

I was required to make multiple drafts and edits along the way by collaborating with my peers. I created a design that fit the parks- fun, friendly, and easy-going!

Data Presentation

Technology Used: Rstudio, iMovie, and Adobe PremirePro

This project was the result of all my work throughout the semester. I did research into the profits made through different movie franchises. I analyzed this data and created different graphs to help persuade my argument.

In addition, I used a design that felt fun, but professional. It was targeted towards convincing a movie company that making a franchise would be beneficial.

Annual Report

Technology Used: Adobe InDesign

This project required me to create an annual report for my fictional company Sappho Publishing. I researched into what profits for a publishing company might look like, and how I would go about reporting that.

I also provided an insight into what my company was planning for the future and how that would benefit my audience- employees, beneficiaries, and customers. I created a design that felt elegant and fit an aesthetic of the LGBT community.

Latte Instructions

Technology Used: Microsoft Word

I created this document to help train a new barista on how to create a latte at the Starbucks Coffee Company. I wanted to create something that would be easy to follow for anyone of any learning level.  Having been a barista at Starbucks for four years I created this step by step process.

I created this document, thinking it would be a part of a larger handout that would be given to every new employee. I added both visual and text in this document so it never felt overwhelming.

Grant Proposal

Technology Used: Microsoft Word and InDesign

Related to the above "Annual Report" project, I also created a grant proposal for my fake company Sappho Publishing. Through this proposal, I outlined our need for a class on Zoom etiquette due to the COVID-19 crisis.

I provided an outline of what my company would do with the grant if given and provided an itemized list of where exactly the money would go. I also created the letterhead for my company to be clean and give a feel for my company.

Social Media

Technology Used: Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

This social media-based project required me to create a brand and several social media posts for a fake small business. Being as this is a small business based on creating custom souvenir ears.

Because these are meant to be worn at a theme park, I wanted to make sure the logo, as well as the copy,  felt very upbeat and whimsical. I also wanted to make sure the content felt uniform throughout all platforms even when the logo had to be modified to fit certain platforms to be readable.
